So I just won an auction on ebay that got me Final Fantasy 11 and the PS2 HDD. Then I find out that you absolutely need the network adapter for it to work. So I got a network adapter tonight, and get a money order for $72 for the game/hdd (after shipping/insurance). I plan on playing Gran Turismo 4 online with Josh (oldskoolgp) and a friend of his that is not on the forums. I also thought about picking up SOCOM:Navy Seals at a local used game trading store cheap. After some of the deals that I have gotten on used games this past summer with discs that were pretty much in excellent shape, this is now the route I go. Used games rule! I might buy game new some time, but I will look around the 4-5 local stores before doing so. But anyways, anyone else play their PS2 online? If so, what do you have to say about the gameplay and other related things? I was wondering because the only games I have to play online are the two demo games that came on the setup disc for the net adapter right now. If you have played Xbox live, how does it compare? I ask because I have thought about getting and Xbox this spring or so, and I love shooter games. I have Kill.Switch, Max Payne, Splinter Cell, Manhunt (kinda shooter, but still fucking rules!), Silent Scope (huge letdown without a light gun like the arcade).

Despite what most people thought about NFSU, I thought it was a pretty good game. Took me a couple weeks to beat it playing it after work, but I did it, lol. I would still consider it for a game to add to my collection.-60v6's 2nd Jon M.

My only bitch about NFSU is when you beat the game, you don't get to use your kick ass car anymore. You can build a new one, but who wants to build a car every time you start it up? I had a bad assed Skyline GT-R on there. I really didn't want to rice it out, but that's the only way to get alot of points. I used it on the regular tracks, and the drag racing, but used an RX-7 for the drifting.-60v6's 2nd Jon M.

Ok, I got NFSU used for $20. $30 later (had to get a DiscDr. because I thought the game would work, and it didn't) it works, lol. I broke even, but the bonus is I have a DiscDr. that has been proven to take a game that wouldn't even display Playstation 2 on the screen to a fully functioning and flawlessly playing game. Playing online rocks!!! I have spent most of my time in the drifting area. At any rate, if you come across someone under the name "fastlq1" (I know neither of my cars are too impressive, lol) yell at me I chose that name because ea.com woudln't take lq1, and some jackass already took pocket-rocket, and another took vin-x, sorry bastards, lol. I still have yet to get FF-XI and the HDD, but it should be getting here any day.-60v6's 2nd Jon M.
