  • I have a DOHC that will stomp Aaron a new mudhole!!!

I have it in a 68 Mustang, and have ran it to 6.656 at 220mph in the quarter!

BTW, it is on a PS2 game called IHRA Dragracing 2, lol. They have the Iron duke, and the Taurus SHO engine, lol. They also have every engine the Big Three have made imagineable. I have the compression for the DOHC set at something retarded like 16:1, a 4000 CFM independant TB intake, 4 valve/cyl race ported head w/ race mods, a custom roots type supercharger running with 19 psi of boost, and 550 cfm/revolution running into a 120% efficiant intercooler, cams with just over 1.2" of lift and I think that is about it. I have messed with the cam timing (you can changed settings like in Desktop Dyno with the IVO, IVC, EVO, EVC settings). Oh yeah, I'm running a mix of 2% Methonol/98%Nitromethane!!! I also have to have a wheelie bar to keep the front somewhat close to the ground when I take off after warming up the 36x17 Wrinkle wall drag slicks, lol. I think the output was just over 4000 hp, and just under 2000 ft-lbs of torque, lol. It's really unstable, and I have been working on suspension/chassis setup to get it to calm down going down the track some, or times would be better, lol.

It had a 3.1 SFI, so there is the 3100. I don't remember seeing the Northstar. Next time I have time, I will list each engine it does have in this thread. It doesn't say if the engines come from FWD cars or not. None of the cars on the game are FWD either.

I found the game used for like 10 bucks online. I'm gonna investigate this thing.

I got it at Kohl's on their Saturday Sale for $8.99 :P I think it's normal price is $19.99 though, and I got a game called Corvette for $12.99. It has the C1-C5 cars, and it's a GM officially licensed game. www.corvettegame.com is the URL on the back of the case ( http://www.corvettegame.com/index.ph...title=corvette takes you right to the description of the game. BTW, Manhunt rules!). Oh, I took a pic of the TV when I had my DOHC on the screen. Here is the pic I took:

Notice I have the sound set up as a Chevy 427, because the closest thing to what our engines would sound like on there is a Buick V6 w/ headers, and that sounded sick, so I gave it some balls, lol. Gameplay isn't the best in the world, but once I got the hang of the game, I kinda like it. You can even change things like the static weight of each corner of the car, or chang tire pressures, growth of the wrinkle wall slicks, the length of the wheelie bar, the stiffness of the wheelie bar, rev limiters, and you have a delay box (I don't use it) to help with your takeoff I think, to help get better reaction times. Right now my average on the game is just over .7 seconds. I did do it like I do at the track (get on it and drop the hammer on the last yellow) but the response of the car gave me a redlight every time, so now I have to pause for a split second to keep from redlighting (where the delay box would probably come in handy, lol). It isn't the best game in the world (I love the Gran Turismo and Need For Speed series), but I still have fun playing it.

EDIT: The green number on top (4001) is the HP, and the blue (1976) is the tq on the "dyno sheet". It kinda has a torque curve like Mike Smith's "shoebox plenum" N/A DOHC Fiero, huh?

LMAO! Yeah it seems like most of us have a turnout something like that, but when you listen to the car it's like you picked

                      *ASS!!!* lol.

I'll take a raspy LQ1 over a Honda w/ a fart pipe anyday. I have only heard maybe 2 imports that I didn't mind the sound of.

Probably. It has been a while since I heard the ones that didn't bother me. One was a Supra (the F-N-F style) at the drag strip a couple weeks ago. He had a Greddy T88 turbo running over 30 psi of boost. I say over 30 because his boost gauge was pegging, so he didn't know exactly how much he was running. He said it was pushing over 800 hp on the stock crank, lol. That turbo was fucking huge! I'm guessing it was almost 10" around. Looked like 4" pipe hooked to it, lol. He didn't drive it on the street, but trailered it. He was running 10's in it because he was out of NO2.
