Not a fan of how they did that dyno pull though... I feel like the results can be skewed by the jerk of the shift...

i also found that odd..... i generally see spinning the engine up through the gears, getting to whatever gear is closest to/is a 1:1 ratio holding it at the lowest RPM they want measurements for, then pulling through the gear to wherever they want to stop measuring.... not just blasting through the gears as quickly as possible.

maybe it's a different type of dyno?

it's cheating as far as a real number is concerned, a pull needs to be made in a single gear that's as close to a 1:1 ratio as possible.

What he's doing is great for tuning but the power numbers are going to be skewed by a good amount because of the torque multiplication of 1st and 2nd gear.

Glad I'm not the only one who feels that way Granted I'm sure the car has ass loads of power but I don't feel like those are true numbers.

I've seen two other 3800 dynos over 800 whp so I guess it's possible. But those were also very high dollar builds.

honestly, I feel like this dyno was more accurate than a typical pull, because it's a more realistic chain of events, to me, it shows the power that's put to the ground. which matters a bit more to me than the engine's exact output.

either way, the car is tough.

Maybe if they averaged the torque output from all 3 gears, then it could be a slightly useful number... but if you pause at :19 you can see it says 757 HP (before Correction), then jumps up a few seconds later.

I agree with a few others here, the way that pull was made is quite odd.

While I don't care too much what dynos say (I've seen them skewed way up and down from actual), seeing a pull that is started in 4th gear (Or what ever gear is as close to 1:1 as possible), and performed in a conventional manner, would be more believable.

FWIW, this car is the first recorded instance of a manual transmission fiero to break into the 10's. the power numbers don't really matter to me, I was more posting the video for the sound... damn that sound!

                              That is very impressive. Now
I'd like to see a few in the 9s. Ever seen that all-motor Honda that runs 9s?? For all the bragging Fiero owners seem to do I'd like to see more performance .
