Can anyone help me out with the alternator and A/C pump bracket that is on the passenger side of a 3.4L Iron Head Camaro motor? I am looking to see if I can change to the newer style 6 cylinder pump by using a Camaro setup. My Trooper uses the old R4 compressor and it develops an insane pulsation that transmits through the belt and shakes the whole motor. It happens right at idle so I always have to shut the A/C off while in traffic. I have tried braces to stiffen the mounts and even the smaller diameter drive pulley to try and speed it up. On the old V-Belt systems GM had a damper pulley that was used on some models. But there is nothing for the serpentine systems. I just want to get rid of the old pump and go with something more modern. Not to mention something better looking and in a more discrete location.
The bracket would help me out the most. I can get a reman pump if you don't have one to sell me. I am also trying to keep this on the cheap since I don't know for sure if everything will mount up without any issues like pump fitment in the Trooper chassis or hose routing.
