  • Auto-meter tach on my 94 chevy beretta Z

Not sure if I'm posting this in the right spot, but I'm fixin to add an auto-meter carbon fiber tach in my Z26, the question is wat color is the wire that the signal wire from the tach adapter goes to?the wire from the adapter is red/green, but I need to know what color the wire coming from the PCM is.
    Sumbody help me out here.
    Thanx!

Why are you using an adapter? You don't need it.

The green wire from the tach will attach to the white or black/white tach wire from the ignition module, alternatively you can use the purple/white wire, if the tach wire is not present. Some vehicles didn't have the tach wire in the connector.

At the IPC there should be a white wire feeding the Tach signal (even if you dont have the OEM option for a gauge). Dont cut it, all that is needed to be done is a 'skinning' of the insulation and hot soldier of the 'new' wire on to it. Wrap it up with some loom and off you go.
