    Those were really common in Europe during WW2 because there was no gas available. I think it does a number on the rings - or it did back then - but any car can be converted to run off the smoke of a wood fire.

      The reason I searched for this was, in Missouri, (Backwoods Missouri), I knew an old man who had it mounted in the back of his pickup. He was kind of a Hermit, and this was his daily driver. He got a lot of stares when he came to town, but I never saw him buy gas. It's a "You had to be there thing".
      If you are driving a Chevy, everything else, is just a blur. 3.4 Carbon Footprint.
