with the rockers still hooked up i got 80lbs. just wanted to see what i got with them hooked up.. couldn't find my feeler gauges so i had to go buy some and will finish today..

the left rocker assuming the exhaust from it's relative position to the exhaust was sloppy as fuck when i popped the cover off. the right one was still pretty tight.

mine was like that before. damn thing would only run choke fully closed. after awhile you could move it over a smidge but nothing like now. it actually runs like it should choke fully open. took the easy route out and just bought a new carb..probably try cleaning the old one out later to have as a spare.

maybe you freed the one piece of crap that was in the carb.

i just did .006 on the intake and .008 on the exhaust. should run better now since the exhaust rocker isn't flopping around like a dolphin in the water.. might try .006 on both.

i gotta screw around with the idle again. had it fixed but now since i tightened the rocker up and the choke is closed aka cold start the idle stumbles until you open the choke a little bit..

you got me thinking about stretching it maybe 6"..probably would do that in front of the engine so i wouldn't have to buy a shorter chain.

          Not bad for $40.. lol

I hacked mine up a little last weekend, stretched the top bars about 4" and brought the rake from 45 degrees to about 30 degrees. I also put on some new (old school) handle bars so it's got a more traditional look and drives a lot better.

The Cammed Raptor i built is just nasty, pulls the front wheel at 1/4 throttle.

i'll probably send another email tomorrow to the guy. figured for $40 why the hell not lol.. it would probably get the biggest engine i could fit there without adding a shit ton of weight.

nice i've been itching to throw a cam in the mini bike..probably gonna go the aftermarket air filter route next since i need a new air filter anyway..lol oh yeah gonna get the bigger tire too. probably something similar to the turf tires off a riding mower.

all i really have done to this lately was a new spark plug and plug cap. striped the orange paint off the front forks so now the whole thing is black.

I have a fat slick that i was thinking about swapping on the back wheel (you can see it by the garage door in the pic) but it's a little shorter than the current tire and i'm not sure if the tube will work ok in it.

Also, if you want a cool sound I found that if you weld a good length of pipe to the output of your muffler (same one i have on it now, the thread in type) it sounds pretty ridiculous under load. I'll have to get a video this weekend.

so much for the $40 kart.. idiot sold it to his neighbors kid..guess he didn't check his email or ignored it to see the first message i sent him.

so weld some pipe on the end of the muffler. i was thinking of something along that line.. still gotta fab up the mini flowmaster.

I may have to take the muffler off and weld the seam, it's leaking pretty bad there now.. haha

oh ok pretty much how i pictured it. probably gonna give that a shot i got the same muffler as you do in your pic.. got a couple of them and didn't read the size. lol thought they were gonna be half the size they were and i was gonna run duals..

mines like that too. every couple of months if i feel like it i clean it off. but maybe that's why i built 3 benches to work on. lol if ones covered in crap move on to the next one..

                              Cool.

I welded the seam last night, that took care of the hot-ass problem after a bit of riding. lol

Got the kart up to 34 mph today, still keep running out of road. I hate playing chicken with a grass field. I have a vid but the cam mount was vibrating like crazy.

                                Nice

the fastest i had mine was the 26mph..that was before i did the rocker adjustment and tune up..was still working all the dust out of the engine. think this was a day or 2 after i got the new carb. plus the rear tire was vibrating like crazy around that 26mph. the setup the guy used that built the thing originally used washers as spacers to make up the fact that a couple of the 4 bolts were longer than the others. 2 of the bolts have like 2 washers one has 4 iirc and the other has some other random number.

welded a piece of old pipe probably like a foot and a half to the muffler. sounds pretty good from the limited inside the garage testing i did. almost sounds like i added another muffler on there.. also got rid of the awful bosch platinum spark plug the guy had in there and threw the correct NGK one in..i'll have to try it with the regular muffler and the one with the pipe welded to it but with the one with the pipe welded to it on it pulls pretty good from a dead stop now..
