  • another tach problem

ok i tapped into the fuse box to get power for my tach and power for the light on my tach. the wire i tapped into was for the car guages and i put both the light and the tach power wire on the car guage wire because i figured that the car guages would be on the whole time the car is on so there would be a constant flow of electricity through the wire. Well i turn the key half way to see if my tach light would come on but no dice. i was thinking that there wasnt enough power running through the car guages wire but i might be wrong.
    any help?

Well get a multimeter and see if there is 12V there. I would tap into the acc fuse if it were me. Then use the headlight fuse for the tach light.

Turn on your guage light and see if it lights up and turns on (not that you could see it "turn on"). The guages fuse is most likely the lighting for the guages.
