  • 60V6 Stump Puller

So we decided to do some landscaping in from of our house, mainly to replace the crappy landscaping of the previous owner. Well, right in the middle of one of the areas was a couple stumps, one just over 12" diameter, the other right around 6" diameter. Decided to try to tackle removing them last night. Dug all around the big one, about 8-10" deep, and used a sawzall to cut any large roots I ran across. At that time, I felt I had it pretty well uncovered, although it still wouldn't budge no matter how I leveraged the shovel. So, I got out a ratchet strap, wrapped it around the trunk and roots, hooked it to the tow hitch of the Rendezvous, and shifted into low. Took a little time, but eventually pulled it out. Roots below the stump went down probably close to 36". The smaller one was a little easier, although I still dug around and loosened it up.
