  • How hot are you?

Being that the US is being hit by a massive heat wave right now, figured I'd see where everyone is at temperature wise.

Right now, we are sitting at 107º, with a heat index of 110º. 90 minutes south of me is currently 113º. Being that it is only 3pm in the afternoon, we still have a little bit of time to warm up a little more, unfortunately...

i think my area is actually on the cooler side of things. a few weeks ago was stupid hot and humid.

it's only 79.5 right now and wasn't that bad earlier when i cut the grass.

    EDIT
looked at the temperature map on weather.com and it looks like the northeast and northwest are sharing similar temperatures while the rest of the nation is getting cooked.

79 now, cause its raining. As soon as it stops, probably upper 80s lower 90s again and humid as hell.

The week before last was mid 90s with high humidity for us. That Monday we got sent home at noon, Tuesday at 1pm, and Wednesday at 10am and told not to come back till the next Monday. It's been stupid humid here too, but at least our temps have been lower to mid 80s.

even then it's like walking into swampass. it was in the mid 80's the other day but the dew point was ridiculous in the 70's iirc.

80 degrees ATM. Inside my garage it's hovering around 85. Ben knows for a fact on a day like today it would normally be much higher. Monday when I started to insulate the "attic" area it was around mid 90s outside, inside here, and around 115 in the "attic" area. My right thigh muscle started to cramp pretty bad (it's still slightly sore, but usable now) so I came in and showered. After my shower I came back out to check the temp and it had ventured up to 120 up in the "attic". Right now in the insulated area up there it's about 91, and where I'm working now it's about 100. Lucky for me today we have cloud cover that provides me the perfect time to finish this nasty job off

90, feels like 98. In the shop, its probably hotter than that unless you have a fan on you. We need more fans! At least I don't have to buy a heater for the winter though:P

Oh and that is awesome for your garage now! I am waiting to see how it does in the winter

You and me both, though I'm in no hurry to see winter

On a side note, this stuff is only R-13, but it's tons better than nothing and already helping, so I'm not griping about the install too much despite the massive itchies and nose blowing, lol.

I am pretty damn hot, but that is according to one of my female customers who just asked me to dance at a bachelorette party (no joke)

                            Note to Ben:

New hoses to route exhaust outside of the shop are in order...
