  • has any one had these symptoms

so i have a 87 celebrity wagon and car lacks power my eshuast sounds like sand is being poured out of it meaning it sounds like straight air and no rumble normal 40 series flowmasters should have...the car still gets up to 50 but is very slow getting there my first thought was the ignition coils since i just had one replaced or the oxygen sensor....does it sound like im looking in the right direction?

almost sounds like a restricted exhaust.

If it sounds like the exhaust is being forced out and not flowing out and the car is slow, either pull the O2 sensor or disconnect the downpipe and run it down the road to see if that clears it up. If it does, chances are your cat is plugged.

drive it at night and see if the cat is glowing, it really sounds like that's your problem.
