My truck did something strange today...

And I watched this happen:





It's now a member of the 200,000 mile club and still going strong.

I apologize for the shaky camera, but it's not easy driving a stick coming to a stop, then starting back up while trying to hold the camera and the wheel while shifting in an old truck on a country road. Also my camera was made before sound was a popular option on digital cameras back in the day and says "Compatible with Windows XP" on the top, to give you an idea of its age.

i did the same thing with the subaru but add a 2 in front of all those zero's. i was at a spot in the road where i could pull over so i took a pic of it rolling 200k.

i wanna hit 300k but we'll see how that goes.

I think I got the last year without the 1 million mile speedo as the guys on the Ranger forums calls it. If it had the 1 million mile speedo, it would have shown up as 200k. As solid as this truck runs and is structurally, I've got no doubts it will hit 300k as well. I've fixed a lot of things on it, but it's never been anything major. The worst was the transmission, then there was wheel bearings, suspension bushings and spring mounts. I've got to change the core support, but from what I see on the Rangers in the junk yards, it's a common thing, just like the spring mounts and it would be more uncommon to find one with those parts good if original up here in the North.
