    ouch. Flambe`

anyone ever been unfortunate enough to be near a vehicle fire like this?

I drove by a burning Exporer in a parking lot, and I had to be 20 yards away and hit by the heat wave. even from in the car. . .

In 1973 My brothers 65 Impala SS Ragtop,396, 3 duece, burned to the ground. My sister was using it while he was in Germany. She hates herself to this day. It was a small town in So. Il. so the Fire Dept. stood and watched.

The fuel lines are on top of the supercharger.

I just made a low blow statement about it . I doubt thats what causes the fires.

It's because those cars know they suck so they commit suicide. There is one in a local junk yard like that. Yeah, I want to start on an L67 swap this week.... right... That is what those swollen headed pricks deserve for thinking the L67 is God's gift to man.

you see back when the L67 was developed, the original car it was mated to wasn't as flammable.
you see the slate stone firewall, and the petrified wood are a lot more flame retardent than those GTP's. It's not jsut Gm's fault though. the guy was using it improperly. they can't catch on fire when they're at the bottom of the lake anchoring your boat liek they'r supposed to be!

might it have something to do with owners not changeing the s/c oil at regular intervals?
