  • 1992 GTP vs a Mistibishi Diamante XV-R

Well i was in the shore this weekend driving around w/a few of my friends. I pulled up to a light to see some punk kid in a 2005 mistibishi diamante..still having a temp tag..the kid started reving his engine.

I never really race my gtp..so i figured what the hell.
We took off at the light he spun tires a lil bit so did i...i figured once i hit bout 3500 id pull away but nope..we stood bout neck and neck all the way to bout 75.. I mean we where mirror to mirror from start till 75.

Came to next light and took off again... I couldent beat this car....once again dead even..from 0-80 this time. It was only him in his car. But i had me my g/f and 2 other people in the back so i had a packed car.

I came online today and looked up this car... i cant find anything bout...

A little bout my car...1992 gtp... FFP chip , FFP underdrive pulley , FFP dog bone. 2 1/2 flowmaster exhaust with high flow cat. Magnecore wires..Ported lower intake n RSM 69mm upper intake.

I know my car has a miss at idle...but i mean damn.. i got beat by a mistibishi =(..
Is my car that slow or is that car actually quick? If you see any specs on this car let me know...
Cuz atleast i know what my car runs in the quarter lol.
    Time for new injectors...

Dude, your car was loaded down. Had you not had the weight you would have smoked him. Assuming you had average sized people in there, you just lost (at least) a half second in the quarter. Find him again with a quarter tank and an empty car, and fuck him up.

the diamante is a fat car. No featherweight there. He's righ, if you were carrying more than yourself, it has a bigger impact on your car.

But dont worry, how old is your car? I'm quite sure you'll outlast mitsubishi motor's build quality. ;p

Speaking of that RSM plenum... is my core in the mail or what? On Friday June 18, you told me it would be shipping on the next monday (which would be June 21). It's July 1 today... 10 days later. No plenum at my door and no confirmation from you. After I shipped the plenum to you (which I did the day after I received payment!) it took a matter of a few days to get to your door. I know, I got the confirmation slip right here. So what's up?

Don't you mean Diamante VR-X, or was this one of those Letter swapping ricers.

I had 300 lbs of sand in the back of the 92 yesterday for the pool I am putting in, and damn that thing felt slow, so you are right in so many ways it isn't even funny.

Yeah, I'll even notice it if I fill the gas tank right full. But I never fill the tank right up and never carry passengers. So I notice it right away.
