Got this car from a gal at work, it had been sitting for the past 5 months at some garage where it had been towed. Timing belt broke, and she had them quit working on it when she found out how much it would cost (ended up buying new car)
So $150 worth of parts later (GM belt + pullies, plenum gasket, NGK plugs) and custom made cam flat holder / cam gear puller, car is up and running great (so far so good, keeping fingers crossed after skimming the threads) No warnings on dash, car ides smoothly somewhere around 800-900 RPM, smooth takeoff, no stalls, no oil leaks, tight steering, smooth ride. Hoping for the best, but am prepared for anything.
Just want to take my hat off to all the contributors to the maintenance section of the site - extremely priceless information. My next step is the air filter, and gonna remove cat.
