  • registration suspension...can I appeal?????

I need some advice info, basically my car died on me and I cancelled insurance( F $160 a month insurance for a car that IS running, let alone one that ISN't) well I got a notice about sending in my plates, for various reasons I didn't/wasn't able to, now they are suspending my registration for 3 months, STARTING in 3 months, so its really 6 f***ing months.

I have busted my ass working on this car dropping every dime I had/have into it, gone through countless trials just to drive it two weeks, I found out what made it die and fixed it, if I can't drive my car for 6(aka for a 2nd year of all the decent months for driving) months because the state of PA is F***ed up and there is no provision for not having to turn in your registration if your NON RUNNING fraking vehicle isn't insured I am going to bury a hatchet in someones freaking skull...

My question is this, can I appeal this, if so how, will it cost money, and can I even win?(fwiw I can get quite a few ppl to verify it wasn't running, including a shop, and the assholes that impounded it the day it was going to be fucking towed to the shop all because some asshole b cop claimed my car that I have busted my ass on and have 3 grand into was an "abandoned vehicle") And if appealing it is a lost cause, why will it not start for 3 months, and can that be sped up at all?
Sorry for the rant and language, but I am as pissed as all hell right now, because this is f***ing bull****.

I call that officially hated! Did you date that cop's sister or something?!? Did he see you doing crazy shit in the streets? The state didn't know your car was down for repairs, the system merely reacted to the automatic reporting from the insurance company. It's doubtful there were any human beings involved at all with the exception of delivering the hate mail to you. I'd start with the tag office and go from there. As for the cop, you'd have to file a complaint with the state department of law enforcement or bureau of investigation.

If you ain't rock and roll, you must be driving a Honda

It broke down at a gas station, and it was a couple of days before I could have it towed, and some cop driving by decided the vehicle that clearly had money into it(hello full pin on hood and brand new aftermarket exhaust) and I had spent the past year busting my ass to get roadworthy was an "abandoned vehicle" its a freaking fairly heavily modified camaro, people don't just abandon those on the side of the road last I checked, only a jackass would decide "oh hey it must be abandoned", I wouldn't be as pissed except that it got impounded the VERY DAY I had it scheduled to be fricking towed, and I had called the gas station and informed them my car broke down and I was going to have it towed as well. So I instead spent $300 for the VERY VERY HUGE inconvenience to have my car impounded, real kicker is, for that amount of money not only would the shop have towed it, they could have fixed it for me as well.
I am aware they reacted to my insurance dropping with the registration BS, my beef is that there is no freaking way to file for any kind of exemption for a vehicle that is inoperable and can't be driven even if you did want to drive it without insurance, why would I want to pay $140 a month for my non running car that I can't drive, or why would I want to turn in the plates when I just shelled out a hundred fricking bucks not 2 weeks ago, to put it on the road, its rediculous that you cannot file for an exemption, and that is the main reason I am so POD is that there are no provisions for such situations which is just plain ridiculous.
And after looking into it I guess I will have to call some place and talk to them, but I have no idea about this appeal process, and I don't understand why I have to first get an appeal, then mail it, like wtf, redundant much. I just hate dealing with all this stupidass legislation bullshit, esp when its very poorly setup, if you had any idea how much trouble and work I've gone through to drive my car that I have owned over a year, all of 2 weeks you would understand my anger..
