  • Best Christmas Presents

So, what is the best gifts people either received or gave? I didn't really get anything (my wife pretty much covered many years of birthdays and Christmas' with the Mustang), but my oldest got some pretty cool stuff... She got an Airhogs helicopter, which at first I thought she was never going to be able to fly, but over the course of the day, she has pretty much mattered it. The other thing she got was a Lego's Mindstorm NXT 2.0, which is the Lego's robotics set. I really think this was more for me, but she is pretty excited about it as well. This afternoon, we built a robot that looks at colored balls and sorts them by color. Pretty sweet!! I still don't fully understand all the programming, but its only the first day.

    What about others?!?

I woke up and ate some cereal. Oh, and I get to pull the head off the wife's car since the timing belt snapped about 40k miles early last week too. Never again anything but a Dayco...

Damn, maybe something else helped it die early? That really sucks.

My kids had a great christmas morning. 10 & 2 yrs old......That was my gift. They were practically spoiled.

My Wife and I got everything they needed/wanted then the family came out of the wood work for more gifts for the kids, surprise!. I spent 3 hours wrapping Christmas Eve and the last thing I had to do was set up a little kitchen thing for my 2 yr old. We opened the box to find it in @600 peices locked in plastic grids. Ughhhh, another 1.5 hours putting that thin together. I got to sleep 2 hours then the kids woke up.

Dragging feet tired it was still fun.

I got to see my mom looking somewhat normal now with a real tone of skin,(kemo therapy) extremely happy, and cooked a termendous meal for our family, and both my dad and mom in high spirits due to my dad also recovering from a hernia from last winter and surgery this late summer, other than that i got all the small things that i asked for like socks, mixing bottles for supplements, i pod dock, new hat and beef jerky.
i think the best gift yet was just seeing my mom so happy she cried this year

No idea what caused the belt to go. I'll find out on teardown. My mom gave us the money for my wifes first school payment for her LAST semester for her RN ( can't wait till May...), her graduation pin and parts for the car. We also got a little spending cash. I bought Call of Duty: Black Ops with mine, so now when I'm not wrenching on the Daewoo I can shoot my friends, lol.
