  • What to swap into?

So, the time has come for me to upgrade vehicles, and sadly the 2.8 liter blazer has to go.

I really love that little truck, but I really feel like I can have something nicer, a little less noisy, more fuel efficient, and less of a beater/work truck.

Gone will be the 2.8, but no the 3.4/3500 I am building.
So now I will have a hybrid v6 but nothing to put it into.

I will have another first gen blazer two door with the tahoe package that is currently my mom's as soon as I replace our jeep's broken tranny. That has the 4.3 CPI and an auto in it, 80K miles and babied. Its keeping the 4.3 just cuz it runs fine and pushes the truck well.

Any suggestions on what to swap into?
Im looking for something small, light, from the 80s thru early 90's that I can swap this into and preferrably something that originally came with a 60šv6 and it has to be RWD, or an easy conversion to RWD

I like small RWD japanese cars/trucks, but I would prefer to keep it an easy swap.

Well the only RWD vehicle's stock with a 660 are the Camaro and S-Trucks. You can also get a Trooper or Rodeo. But none of them are small and light. I have seen a 3.1L in a Datsun 510. Thats would go like shit with a 3X00 in it.

I'm building an 81 Chevette 2-door with a hybrid 60*, finishing up details after winter is over.
Most fun build ever! Easy swap, there's well laid-out plans available on the interwebz.
Gotta love a cheap, screamin sleeper!

Chevette would be sweet and an RX7 would be a good shell as well. People swap all kinds of stuff into them.
