Some of you may have already seen my one year transformation pics on fullthrottlev6.com

I started off two years ago weighing 325lb a few months before graduating from tech school. I was fat, slow and had started developing breathing issues. I got fed up and decided to change. heres my first pic. (lovely, aint it)

The first thing that I did was to drop ALL fast food, soda, white flour products and meat products. This didnt leave me a lot of options in terms of diet, so I did some study and "re-taught" myself how to eat properly. Leafy greens, bean soups, vegitables and nuts became the new standard. Being "fat as fuck" meant bad stamina so I bought a cheap set 25lbs dumbells, an abb-wheel and some good running shoes. I got into a light morning jogging and 30min evening routine (that I did in my guard-booth while working security) and stuck to my new routine for the next 3 following months. The first 40lbs fell off in a flash and I looked like this

By the next few months time I could jog further and my core was starting to take shape. I intensified my workouts and stuck to my diet. I was down to a lean 240lbs.

By this time I felt like I had lightened up a bit too much, and decided to start increasing the weight training. My abbs had started showing and my core strength was increasing.

I graduated and found a bigger rent house to live in. My best friend moved in with me and we both started P90X training in the evenings. Its been a bit over a year and a half since I started. I now looks like this.

I also picked up a bit of flexability as well. (the ladies love it)

(So much for the glory of "pork-fat" and Mc donalds)
Took a break from working on the car. Got some better tools, got a better shop, got a better job... Its time to burn metal!

Lol, I'm the same way. I could skip shaving for a week and barely get anything more than peach fuzz. I'm right around 200 give or take (probably give) @ 5'8" or so. I'm looking at a bit of time off of work this winter and was planning on using a decent chunk of it to get back into shape. I do plan on keeping meat in my diet though, I love meat- been a meat and potato person all my life. Nice transformation on your part though

Meat isnt bad to eat. Hell, humans are designed to eat it. Its just that most americans gluttonize themselves on entirely too much. As a result, the practices used for processing it have become unhealthy and hazardous just due to the sheer quantity that is "manufactured" for public consumption. The animals are stressed from the point that thier born untill they die and are fed high-acid inducing grains and fillers to get them to grow fast. As a result, they accumulate a huge amount of unhealthy stress hormones (cortisol, etc), cancerous tumors and putrified lesions along with numerous antibotics and heavy metal compounds used to treat infections from thier failing immune systems that end up poisoning the people who eat it.

My advice would be to hunt for a season or buy meat from someone who does, (if your into that at all) and stock your fridge. Thats the only time that the animal is quickly and humanely killed, and only after a lifetime of clean raising.

Id avoid by-products from animals raised eating "cut-cost" animal feed with freeze-dried dead tissue mixed in to recycle protien or animals raised in filthy, shit-slathered, "physteria" infected cages. (thats brain eating bacteria for those of you who dont know)

If it werent for the fact that processed meat (especially beef) was so fucking biologically nasty and absolutely detrimental for human consumption, then I would still be gladly eating it.

I do work with Amish that have farms and I do have a nice full size freezer in my basement. I'll have to do some asking around for some prices for some good meat. Thanks for the heads-up and insight

Thanks for taking it to heart. If everybody else in the world gave it that much concideration, then I promise you, we wouldnt be in the mess that we've gotten ourselves in.

I can't see the pics here at work but congrats!

I was starting to have some health issues this summer and needed to make some changes as well, i stopped drinking all soda and replaced it with green tea at home/water at work. I started off at 201 lbs in July and was at 175 last week. No exercise or other diet changes. I suppose if i gave up my fast food breakfasts and exercised i could get to 160 ish but that takes a little more effort than i have in me right now.. lol

I figure the lighter i get, the faster i'll be in the 1/4 mile next summer.

Most of my weight loss occured more so from the diet change than my excersize routine. The funny thing is that I actually consume MORE calories now than what I used to before eating a "conventional" diet. (4000 to 4300 calories daily. Im not kidding)

And yes, I was thinking the exact same thing. My car has undergone about 180lbs of weight reductions + my own 85lbs or so of personal weight loss. This should get me into the low 12's with the new 500+hp engine.

congrats on the changes. i love seeing people be able to do this. i too wish everyone in this country would stop for a second and think about what they're putting into their bodies. not that i'm any better sometimes. But at least i'm aware of it.

                          Nice job!!!

I've been under a ton of stress lately and haven't worked out in close to 2 or more years. I've lost muscle and while I haven't gained much weight, I just don't look good. People have asked if I lost weight, and it's muscle I've lost, cause the fat is still there. Actually a little less of it since I haven't been eating as much un healthy things lately. But I'm tired all the time, weaker, and just feel bad. I really want to get back into it and I'm stick of life and work taking up all my time. I hope by at least 1/2 way through this winter I can start working out again and get back to feeling better both mentally and physically again.

I dig the chops. I have the exact opposite problem though. I can shave in the morning, and by the next day I look like I've been stranded in the woods for 3 weeks.... LOL At 5:00 each day I look like I haven't shaved at all. Not only does it grow fast but it's black and thick/coarse so it shows up very well. It can't be the cherokee in me, it must be the german. I have no hair on my chest or back whatsoever though.

The first big change for me came after a mere change in diet. The only excersize that I did consisted of a 7 min morning jog and a 30 min dumbell routine that I came up with while working security in the booth. I can safely say that the true route to success consist of 20% excersise/daily activety and the remaining 80% in diet change.

Eat the right thing and when possible, utterly avoid processed beef, poultry and pork (unless youre buying from a local farmer) and dairy. (accept cottage cheese and whey isolate. Otherwise, Cheese, 2%, whole milk, etc... theyre all no-no's) Processed sugar is the closest thing to pure poisoned that americans eat, so avoid that too.

The practice of eating "smaller quantities" is utter bullshit. That only leaves you hungry and misserable. I eat untill Im "bug-eyed" and then go on to the next thing. Eating a lot of bulk fiber is a must. Apples, course vegitables, nuts and almonds etc. will help out greatly.

Note: My caloric intake is staggering (about 4300 calories a day). Thats about 1500 calories less than when I eating a "so-called" normal diet. So that pretty much blows the whole "calorie counting" BS out of the window. The fact remains that foods with animal fats in them will contain active stress and growth hormones that contribute to how fat is used and distributed in the person who eats it. Something to think about.

I barely have hair anywhere else on my body. My arm-pits are virtually clean. The people at the local nadatorium think that I shave my body or something. Thank God that I at least have pubes, otherwise Id look like a door-stop.

Oh yeah, Im part German too (my grandpa). It dont help.
