ok so im working on molding a hood scoop to the stock hood. first i stripped the hood to the metal used and epoxy to attach scoop to hood and then used body fill to mold and put smooth transition to it. the scoop is abs material i think. and the problem i have came when after it was all nice and sanded and prep i put a coat of charcoal color primer on the entire hood and set it the sun for good curing. the damn fill started to peel away from the scoop. im sure its cuz of the heat. and sun.
possible solutions i thought of
1. reapplying fill and letting cure in the sun for a day to allow contraction before sanding and finishing.
2. use fiberglass resin Jelly as a fill agent istead.
3. order some metal or aluminum based fill i saw on the eastwood company site. (says its stronger and more durable.)
any input
