  • SEMA 2010 pictures

Just got back last night at midnight with almost 500 pictures, reduced it down to best ones and posting up to Facebook right now. You can find them here:

They are taking a while to load so if not up yet, check back in a few minutes.

Haters: I make no judgment on which cars are good, great or awful, they are just here for your enjoyment - let the discussion commence!

Only made it through the first album so far, but there are definitely some sweet vehicles there.

I was a bit dissapointed with this year's show. Everyone down sized and everytime I tried to get technical with people they told me to visit their websites . Except a few cool guys... 1700 HP duramax for 30k. FTW?

I can understand the downsizing, we actually skipped this year as an exhibitor - the first missed show in over 20 years! And several other friends dropped their footprint or also skipped. The economy is awful and a real struggle for many companies. But if you are there, do your best to service potential customers! Since we rarely get a chance to get out of our own booth we took the opportunity to walk the show and try to see how we could make next year's display more appealing and better reach our target audience to home builders, independent exhaust fabricators and small manufacturers.

I am always dismayed over the professionalism shown at some of these shows, especially one the size of SEMA. The cost of even the tiniest booth is a lot of money! I think too many people think if they make something THEY think is cool then you should just buy it. One year I walked up to a booth and the guys was using his laptop, he looked up at me, said not a word, and went back to his computer. My belief is that lousy service before they have your money does not bode well for how they will treat you if you have a problem after the sale when they do have your money.

We try and treat our customers the same way we would expect to be treated when we are a customer elsewhere. Even though it is tiring standing in the booth all day (we usually get in an hour before the show starts and finish cleaning up an hour after the show ends - so 10 hours on our feet) for a full 4 days. Add to that two full days setting up and a day tearing down, plus the drive there and back and it is a grueling week. But we all have to realize that those people we meet are the ones that allow us to stay in business!
