    Most days the news surrounding torrent sites, the scene and piracy is dominated by lawsuits, busts and other negative stories. But every now and then there is a ray of light that brightens the day. Today we bring you the story of a filmmaker who didn't complain when he saw that his film was being pirated. Instead he helped a scene release group to improve the ripped copy of his DVD.


    I'm only 20 min into the video (its an hour and twenty minutes total), but I remember playing these games when I was a kid. One of the things it mentioned, was computer magazines used to publish code in the magazine. I remember this! I don't know how many different programs I typed out from old computer magazines when I was a kid. Definitely brings back some memories.

    I was going to say I remember typing out some code from PC Magazine into qbasic that made a fractal back in the day. Way back when the Pentium 90 was the big dog even with it's bad floating point processor, and it would still shoot cards down after beating solitaire so fast that it looked like they were going to fly off of the screen.

          All my programming from magazines was on a Commodore 64... And yeah, I remember Oregon Trail. One of the games that is mentioned in this movie is Zork, with I seem to remember playing.

              I started out on the Atari 400, then the 800 and even the 1200xl. Two hours typing Caverns of Mars into the old bit-bucket was no joke. High density desk top storage was a cassette drive. I remember the party me and my brother had when we got our first phone modem (you dialed the number, waited to hear the modem on the other end and then set the receiver onto the modem's saddle.
