Yes. As long as your total budget for the car hasn't exceeded $20xx (whatever year you are in). So let's say you want to do a motor swap for the new year. You would sell the old motor and subtract that from your total and add the cost of the new motor.

$2010 was the 4th year this same car competed.

          Thanks

I should update with the $2011 car, it's a riot. A 1975 BMW 2002 with the entire e30 subframes, suspension, motor, firewall, trans tunnel, steering column and the same wheel/tire setup that the e30 had - but it's 121lbs lighter weighing in at 2039lbs wet.

That looks so much fun to drive. This budget racing series looks interesting. If it's not a college-only thing, I might try to get some of my friends together and make one ourselves.

Yeah, I want to build a track car myself someday. I love how the turbo sounds with that very short exhaust, lol.

Anyone can enter. There are professional shops to individuals to college students who participate.

I talked to some of my friends about this, and we've got a team together as well as a sponsor of sorts, Tech Secure 411, the small start-up I do web design for. So far the cost is split four ways thanks to that.

We've been looking for a cheap fourth generation Firebird on craigslist and the like. If I'm lucky, we'll find a good one with a 60 degree V6 (though, as I understand, the gen 4 only had that option for two years), and I won't have to venture too far on the web to find good information about it. If it's a manual, my friend will insist on him driving it, since he's really big on those and thinks I am incapable of shifting properly.

Should I start a $2012 GRM thread for this? If so, and VBulletin's admin panel allows for it, feel free to split this post and make it said thread.
