Stock m20 (2.5l i6) engine and a Holset hx35 turbo with an adapter to fit on a BMW 525tdi (diesel turbo) manfold that was ported and re-drilled to match the m20 head. True divided flange for pulses, m30 3.5l i6 air flow meter adjusted to run 36# injectors, 15x10" circle track rims with custom adapters to fit the 4x100 pattern. Fabricated coil over shocks, super heavy springs for the auto-x and another setup for the drags. The body was widened 3.5/4" on all fur corners, all steel fabrication using a donor car. It weighs 2160lbs with a full tank of gas. It has independent rear suspension, RWD.

      Drag race#1: 12.9

Drag race #2: 12.3@117mph 2.01 60' this was our fastest run, the hood blew off at about the 1/8th mile and Carlos drove through it since the launch was so awesome haha if you look close at the last second of the vid, you can see it flying over the trees/e.t display!

Drag race #3: 13.1 and a poped head gasket

This was on the same auto-x tires for the rear and some stock rims/tires in the front. The tires are Hoosier circle track 275/45 15

A pic next to a competitor at the auto show. They had an e30 with an lm7 (cast iron-block ls1), e36 5-lug conversion with Chevy rims...

April issue of GRM magazine will contain the $2010 Challenge race coverage. We had a 5 page spread last year, Feb issue.

$1960 to be exact. The rules allow you to recoup the cost of the car in parts sales up to $1005. The car cost $700, sold $700 in parts off it to be at $0, then put $1960 on supplies/parts and many hours into it. Yes, the car was built on a $2010 budget.

Crossed the finish line backwards, lol. That looks like a blast. It makes me wish I could be a part of something like that.

You guys still have the car? Either way, buy a copy and put it on the wall of the new shop Especially if you have the car to put right by it. That right there should give some credit (not that you guys should have problem gaining credit down there). Again, nice job
