or they think a cold air intake and a flowmaster is the be all end all performance mod.

they cant even pick a decent color either it's usually something horrific that doesn't even flow good. then they see how many subwoofers they can fit in the trunk. hell i still have the same subs/box that i had in my 2nd car.

        Pretty much. lol

But hey, don't hate on the Flowmaster 80 series. I have one with a glasspack, and I have no rasp. My GA may be slow, but I know it's slow. If I ever do anything serious, I'll be nabbing an LA1 block and doing an LX9 top swap, mild cam, 62mm throttle body, headers, and a tune. Then I would bump up to a 2.5" exhaust, and upgrade to a Magnaflow crossflow, and a bigger glasspack too.

even though mine is a 5 cylinder i am impressed it moves pretty good. i also lol at the "RAM AIR" that has to be the crappiest set up ever go GM on the marketing though

idk maby sense i am coming out of relitcivly quick car all ready i have a diffrent under standing then most. i also know that it's not worth it to swap in a 3800 when a N/A 3x00 can make just as much power

i am still amazed so few have gone through with the 5 speed swap i have spent at least 1 houre searching and realy came up with little info. i found that shocking seeing as the car had a manual option it should be relitivly simple to do

my plan is to swap in a 3400 ($400 at the local JY) then use the knock knoc motor for a rebuild

          ported 3500 top swap
          62mm TB
          3.4 RWD pistons
Custom ground cam for the higher cmpretion
          WOT-Tech/ 60*inclusive headers
          2.5" exhuast

this is if the 3400 can be used if not full 3500 swap. i bet i would be making more then what my 01 GP was putting out (261 whp and 324 wtq)

LA1 hybrid builds have lots of potential. It's just compared to the 90*V6's, the 60*V6's got the shorter end of the stick aftermarket wise.

IMO, the L36/L67 motors are overrated. Don't get me wrong, they can be made to go fast fairly easily, but so could an LA1/LX9/L23 motor.

I haven't seen too many people build up some LZ4, LZ9, and LY7 motors that much (mainly on the Epsilon chassis cars), those motors have lots of potential too.

Keep the bullshit on GAGT. I have no tolerance or patience for it here. This is your only warning.

Excuse me. Are you suddenly in charge of this challenge? What's with these threats? Face it nobody can do it except for the meager few that have and moved on.

Considering I have MONEY in this, and put the damn thing together I certainly do have more say than most everybody.

If refunds are given out I would be willing to donate to a 60DEGREEV6 challenge.

Anyone willing to start one for say next summer? Of course rules would need to be changed but it's just my .02

The challenge is over. Too many fucking whiners. Those who were involved with it have been sent an email concerning their money. I'm not even waiting until the "new" deadline, as its not going to happen.

                          That's a shame.

I saw the complaining on GAGT.com's end. Stupid really. There was no reason to end it. But whatever, I wanted to see somebody go for it.

As mentioned by Ben, perhaps we'll start a challenge over here, and open it up some more. It'll be a little tougher to figure out the rules and whatnot, but I think we'd get to see some pretty fast cars out of the whole deal.

Well, that's good, now I don't have to drive down to Nashville this Friday night. Thanks for the vote of confidence, asshole. Not to mention Blackjack, who's car is obviously able to run the number given traction.

Feel free to go for it. If anything, I'll find a way to get you something for it. And yeah, I know BlackJack was aiming for it as well. Run it and post it over there. I'd love to see them proven wrong. And then blame me for cancelling it too soon...
