well, it is a sad day for me, but after the hurricane a few weeks ago, I had to sit down and seriously consider my cars. 3 of my cars got flooded in all the rain we got, and when I was working to dry them out, I said "enough is enough".

I don't have the time, money, or energy to fix up my projects. I am going to cut my losses and get rid of most of my fleet. I have already started stripping my 1988 Cutlass Supreme (the gold car), and my 1990 Grand Prix STE. Once they are stripped out of all their good stuff, I am calling the wrecker to come get them. The black 1992 is ready to go now, as well as the pink 1996. That will leave me with my 1994 Cutlass Supreme vert, and my 1998 Lincoln Mark VIII. Once I am sure the Mark VIII is stable, I am going to sell the vert to a friend of mine, and just wash my hands of w-bodies.

This site has been one of the best I have been on, and I still refer people here when they want to know more about their 60 degree V6's, but as for myself, I can't keep up anymore. I am just going to keep the newest car in my fleet, and maybe one day, I will get back into GM's.

Sorry to hear this. I go through those phases even without a natural diasaster so I can understand how you feel. Good luck with the Lincoln and here's to your one day coming back to the dark side of GM.

Wow, that really sucks. I have been thinking about stripping my white GP and getting it out of here as well. Flood like that would call it for sure. Maybe you should do a 60V6 powered boat, just in case this happens again.

Stroke of bad luck. Hope things improve for you. I have three functional vehicles, yet I am one person. I find myself bored and looking at Craigslist a lot, looking for a more powerful project car, even though I really shouldn't and don't really have the disposable income. Some of us are stubbornly dealing with the fact we must live within our means. I hope I don't do something stupid and buy another car...
