  • Got Flywheel?

FWIW... These are some general knowledge videos that most of us (me in particular) would never have thought about checking before walking away from the parts counter and then making a non-durable repair... So bring along that Old Flywheel with you when replacing it... and John from Costa Mesa R&D has quick tip on installing the Flywheel Bolts without accidentally hydro-locking them with too much Thread-Locker and leaving it susceptible to coming loose.

PAY IT FORWARD . . . Please help me keep all my resources FREE for everyone to learn from and use. DONATE any amount here https://www.paypal.com/donat...

See how a flywheel should be installed as demonstrated by John Edwards @ Costa Mesa R&D Automotive Machine. www.engine-machining.com (949) 631-6376

Almost full circle on the thread locker -- I'm sure it's a common lesson to apply the stuff to the male threads so you don't get a lot trapped inside the blind holes. Seems the real trick is using the applicator -- better pay attention the first few times you are doing this to ensure you get good coverage inside without applying too much.

      Two questions:

      1. Where can I get those handy little applicators?
      2. How did he determine TDC on the Flywheel?
