l67 trouble

has anyone ever had these same problems?? ok this is for my dads '99GTP with the l67, actually has low miles engine bay pretty clean....

the problem is it starts and runs fine for 3-7 seconds the just dies with no codes...it did throw a po403/po405 code (bad EGR), once, but hes also been disconnecting some so idk bout that... other than that it will not throw a code but the TCS light will not turn of.

im leaning more towards the ridiculous TPS sensor failure common to the 3800's or PCM. but the fact that the TCS light wont go off is supposed to mean an emissions related issue.

does anyone have any ideas?

no it will start first try everytime then just die, im under the impression its the fuel pump resistor as its just not throwing codes. unfortunatly i live a state away from him so its hard to troubleshoot.

hes gonna do the fuel pump resistor bypass (thanks for the w-bod posting) first. if its not that its gotts be theft det. system related (bad chip in the key)
but the TCS (yes traction control system) light still bothers me that it wont go out, the owners manual says if it wont go out its an emissions related problem.
hes also going to clean out the MAF, but

......nevermind the cars running he did the fuel pump resistor bypass, cars running perfectly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
