    TRANSMISSION MYSTERY! SHUDDERS!!!

    Hi, I just replaced my transaxle w/ a rebuilt one and it is fine eccept it has a pretty bad shudder at low r.p.m. around 2000 after it has shifted to the higher gears.

    There is also gear noise in all ranges including neutral that increases pitch (higher sound for higher rpm).

    I dont know what else I can check to not ruin my new tranny Help anyone? Thanks! Beau

    Just a thought.. Did you get the torque converter locked in all the way?
    If you are driving a Chevy, everything else, is just a blur. 3.4 Carbon Footprint.

      Well, I guess I will find out soon. I called the company that I purchased it from and they are sending me another Tq. conv.and converter solenoid. Yay! now I get to drop the whole subframe & engine again! thanks for the help!!!!
