    Check it out!!!

New welder from Miller. It only weighs 50lbs and uses single phase 220v (dryer or stove outlet) and has an easy to use control panel to take the guess work out learning a new machine, and you can't beat the price.

I have seen them for as little as $1272 with free shipping (foot switch is another $140).

I've been doing that for years with .030" MIG wire When welding two different thicknesses, you go by the thinnest one since you will be penetrating the thicker piece by only that much...

Do you think it's possible to wire a heavier gauge power cord to it, to get extra distance to the work area? I've got about 3 feet to get through the wall to the back area of my garage, from the dryer outlet.

Syncrowave 300? What an ancient machine! Does it have an external radiator? The shop I used to work at had one with an external radiator. That was fun to mess with, trying to load it onto a truck to take to the repair shop.
