  • 1986 Comanche 2.8 to 3.4 carbed

    Hi All,
I am wanting to swap in a 3.4 in place of the carbed 2.8 in a Comanche.
I know I will need to remove the weight off of the 2.8 flex plate, but why not use the 3.4 flex plate?
My main question though is, will the 2.8 manifold fit on the 3.4?
Also will the 2.8 distributor fit the 3.4?
    Thanks

Good question. I would think you should be able to retain the 3.4 flex plate no problem.

Not sure on the jeeps but there is a reason why you're not supposed to be able to use the f-body flywheel or flex plate on s-series but for the life of me I can't remember the exact reason.
