One thing overlooked in regards to MPG of European cars, they are based on the British
gallon. Once you convert it, it's not much better than our cars.
The Europeans get smug about it, but once you throw that tidbit in their face, they say
shit like, you Americans always have to do shit different than us!!! haha
1 Imperial gallon = 1.20095042 US gallons

gallons. I'm not sure what the measurement is in Canada though.
But a 2.2l Cavalier gets around 40-41MPG in the UK verse the 32-34ish it
would get here.
A 3.1/3.4 gets around 28-30MPG stock, that's around 36-37MPG there.
I'm not sure on the rest of Europe though. But Pushrod motors aren't
readily available there. Nor is large displacement.
My friend from there goes on and on about a car having a 3.1l. It's funny.

arent most Jaguars V12s? Aston martin and stuff too. they do have some bigger engines, but their smaller roads demand smaller cars. putting bigger engines in smart cars is stupid. lol but some parts of europe arent too different from here. alot of the BMWs and Mercedes cars have bigger engines than our mid sized sedans and 2 seater sports cars. not alot of our 2 seaters have V8s in em, i mean... the vette, ford gt, and the viper are the first three i think of.
but there arent too many of their 2 seaters that have em either
if GT4 taught me anything im pretty sure the Mercedes McLeran SL thinggy has one, and im pretty sure theres gotta be some others.
a few audis have v8s and twin turbos on em...
