  • Sirius Instal. no showing wires :P

Plus some red interior i did a while back. i want to re do the seats, but i will probably buy a junkyard pair and re do them (Hopefully some Fully adjustable GP buckets)

did the red paint over a month ago, and still no scratches or anything.

That actually looks OK. Normally I hate painted interiors... Although I'm not digging the console shifter plate being red..

      Is that a wire?

I don't like red interiors, so my comments will not be helpful.

        guilty.
but you can only see it if you get down real low. and as for the center plate. ive been meaning to re do it. i have a new one that has no paint on it, i want the outside part red, then the inner part gloss black and clear coat over everything. oh and put the shifter indicator on it. and the comments are positive enough for me!

Edit: Did you notice the HUD Control? the sirius is screwed to the dash plate, not a mount kit. and i dremmeled out the back of it. lol

Don't you just hate it when someone brings you out. Nice set up though I like the in dash screens and Ive always wanted one, but the ol' piggy bank wont hold up if I was to buy one....its quite delicate now a' days.

the funniest thing about that wire, is that its not even for the sirius radio. lol its for the red lights under the dash! haha which you can also make out some of the WHITE wires they used to connect the pod thinggies. i shoulda taped over the white or loomed it or something. oh well i gotta take the dash apart today anyway

im glad most of you like it for the most part. i like it! lol but i also dont like the shifter plate, yet.

Can I make a suggestion on the shifter plate? Paint it black like the little compartment that is in front of it IMO that would look aesthetic. As far as the dash goes it looks real good, I wish my camaro would have turned out that good. I painted the "hood" over the gauge cluster red and I guess it blistered up because of the sun and it looks like crap. I painted other things as well to accent it and it all still looks ok, hell the paint is about 4yrs old! I painted it right after I got the car in 2004, now the car has 277000 mi. on it, sitting, and for sale!! Haha sorry for rambling......

i repainted it, and yes that does sound nursery rhyme-ish.

                    red eggs and ham?
anyhow. im just saving the CR2s from my camera (raw picture files) have to run it thru photoshop, and ill upload a picture. i added some black though, also its not quite dry enough to install.
(edit if im not happy with how this looks when i put the indicator and light in it, then i will go to ALL black. lol

took a couple layers of primer, two layers of paint, maybe 3. a long wait before i masked, then painted some black, unmasked and covered with rattle can clear.
it really does shine better than it does here in this picture.

doesn't look bad... normally, painted interiors look like complete shit, but this seemed to work out alright...

BTW: ziptie the wire out of the way, cheapest/easiest and very reversible way to remove that annoyance of a wire. if i had ANY wiring sticking out from any of my electrical installs, i would be ripping my hair out to hide it...

lol where it is you cant see it unless you get down there level with the arm rest or maybe from the back. theres nothing there to zip tie it to, so im just gonna lengthen it and run it up higher in the dash, one of these days. plus i want to add something in there so it doesnt stay on when i shut the car off. (anyone have a better idea than a small 4 post relay?)

next to none, i can honestly leave it on for over two days and still start my car no problem! haha i dont have the exact numbers, and when i left it on for two days i used the remote starter to get er goin, so i didnt see the volt gauge first to even get a guess. but it turned over like it would have any other time. it really isnt a problem, i just like it when cool things happen on their own. lol

-found the Plant Manifest sheet for my car too! lol (has all the RPO codes from my car on it, and with a little bit of explanation.)
