Anyone know where I can get some new weld in body panels for a 2001 W-body? My rocker panels are rusting out, so if I could find them, I would like to weld in some new ones and repaint the car. All of my Google searchs have turned up some cheesey stainless steel pieces that go on the bottom of your doors, but perhaps I'm not using the correct terminology.

Looks like $267+ for each side. I think it's time to start calling the yards in my extended area to see if they have one that can be hacked up for parts.Comment

You will almost certainly find that your problem is deeper than just the rockers once you start grinding.
In fact the outside rockers are likely the least of your worries.
But you can probably make it look OK.Comment

That's kind of what I'm thinking. I'm going to cut and grind it up before I actually order anything. Then I'll sandblast the inner rocker and see what I have going on. The car has some other issues going on right now, so I've just let the outside go as it doesn't pay to spend a lot of money on a car that has over 150,000 miles. But, if I can fix the rust and at least make it look OK for the next couple years for a little cash, then I guess it could be worth it.Comment
