It's better to let the buyer assume it is average and be pleasantly surprised, than to paint a picture only to fall short of their expectations.

That's like my friend who bought a Mac notebook for his wife that was listed as "brand new" only to be pulled out of the box to find scratches on the top, then be put back in the box and shipped back.

Hopefully round 2 of your ebay turbo turns out better than round one.

      Round Three

Okay so I get the brand new Garrett T66 TO4 P trim .69 turbine housing turbocharger and the compressor housing appears to be the same size as my T3 .60. I do my homework and find that once again another not as described item except this time brand new and even smaller than the remanufactured supposed BB 60-1 I returned.

The sellers all mention how good a deal I got which basically indicates they failed to do what I did, check the merchandise against the specs that were claimed when they bought it. This is my second paypal decision in a row so now I'm dealing with a company since the ebay participants refuse to do right.

These guys ( http://turbocharged.com/main.htm) gave me a good deal on my rebuild parts for one of the twin T3s. They quoted me $500 for a remanned T67 with a water cooled center and .81 turbine housing. When I finally got around to placing the order after the help they provided me in establishing my claim with paypal for the fake stuff, I was told the turbo is going to be brand new instead of remanned and that they build to order with a polished compressor housing and 360 thrust bearing and dynamic seal.

I'll post a picture when it arrives and see how well they stick to their discription. The rep that helped me is James.

          T67

From the looks and my measurements they got it right! The compressor housings on the previous two turbos do not compare to this one and I was told the housing itself is a little smaller in diameter than usual which is good in my case since if it were any bigger I would probably only have one location to install it for certain.

It's made to order, water cooled, with a P-trim .81 turbine and 360 degree thrust bearing. Looks like it might suck the deck lid in on the Fiero. It has a nice compressor map also with a efficiency island reaching way down to the low boost level for my engines flow capacity.

It's apparent that sellers on Ebay are purposely mis describing their turbos to get unsuspecting buyers to purchase them and then keep them any way after they find a supposed honest mistake was made. A T67 must have a 67 mm inducer on the compressor wheel, yet after doing a search on Ebay for T67 turbos, I found several that had compressor inducer specs well under 67 mm in diameter.

When you point that out they try to place blame on the buyer who may not know any better by saying they posted the specs in the description, despite having sold it as something different.

The left connecting rod is a stock 3900 rod, the right is the small journal SBC H-beam I'll be using in my offset grind stroke increase for the HO engine I hope to have built in Feb. The H-beam is lighter and has huge 7/16" ARP bolts.

don't suppose you have a link for common turbo inducer/exducer measurements?

i know what mine is compareable to now, but for the longest time, i couldn't find any measurements...
