I love listening to the background voices when my wife is filming me at the track. There is usually lots of random "wtf, a cavalier???" comments which are followed by "Holy shit"! when i trap 106+.

I love lining up against early 'vettes and Camaros/Mustangs and such during Time Trials and blowing them away, then watching them take the abuse from their buddies for getting smoked by a silly Beretta.

One guy with a beautiful Rambler/Scrambler loaded up and went home after just one run when his girlfriend/wife started laughing at him for getting his "oh-so-special-moneypit" blown away by that "thing". Sad thing is he ran 14.80 which is about right for one of those.

Can't do that on a DYNO!

I am not one for showboating or bragging in most peoples faces while meaning it. I like to keep things humble and out of peoples minds. I guess, when I express it like that, my choice is really obvious, but going to the track is fun, and that is all it is too me if I wanna get road rage off my chest.

I appreciate that 100%, and I don't have to prove anything to anyone, but when I sit in the staging lanes and people (and associated groupies) are counting the cars as to who they are going to run, and they make silly statements like "This will be good video against that thing" it makes it all alittle more fun.

My car runs what it runs, surprises alot of people, and will hold it's own against 99% of some REALLY nicely restored cars I wish were mine.

No disrespect meant to cars that are worth ten times what mine is worth, but it is nice to get some attention.

                  Still makes me smile!

I totally see your point. It is entertaining, and that is why I prefer to watch someone do that to an unsuspecting victim.

It makes for a nice evil smile.

Always fun times at the track. I like this race here, it was close at first, then I walked him. Very nice Camaro.

This vid has FUNNY commentary... The kids don't know my car at all. - of course I am against JimE's "worlds fastest Maxima" he let me win though, haha. Saving the juice for the elim. rounds he was.

This one was also pretty fun, against my buddy Dave to win the 2009 JCO Q8 Braket:

No, not really. I usually build things to see how much they can take before it breaks or how long it will last at "x" and "y" factors.

I use it a lot. Just not always in the 1/4 mile. It's more for that "wtf just happened" moments.

Ever go to pass someone on the freeway or the road merges ahead and the guy that didn't care to pay attention to roads signs now wants to get into your lane and get in front of you and hold you back?
Then that idiot car happens to be a Mercedes or WRX (examples) that from factory should be able to walk you during a highway situation like above, but all of a sudden they are multiple car lengths back and wondering WTF just happened. That is what I like.

i got a few thumbs up from people before. one was an older guy with an older trans am and another guy driving a newer F-body.

ive also seen people doing the wtf was that double take lately. roll up to the stop sign and there in the yard going wtf is that.

120 mile round trip. mines the same as Jon's like 108mi one way little over 2hrs to get to either track.
last trip to new york i went through a little over 1/2 tank to get to the hotel.
it use to use roughly almost a full 1/4 tank at the track.

I'd rather go to the track. It's way more fun!

Either way, I have tracks & dyno's within a reasonable distance where I live. 1/4 mile track is about 30 minutes away and there's a 1/8th mile track a little over an hour away that's open all year round. Plenty of dyno's under an hour away...
