I have to put my 6' ladder in the bed of my truck to reach my motion light to change the flood lamp bulbs when one burns out...

i thought about using the roof of the subaru and standing on that but i'm not really sure on how strong the middle of the roof is.

when i first got it setup we used a 12' ladder and that stood a few inches above the lights when it was set up so you could use it. crappy thing is the lights are 3-3.5' away from the wall so you can't use a ladder that you lean against the wall to change them plus they are the 8' bulbs.

i tried the putting a ladder up on something or using a stack of tall objects to try and change one light but the whole setup was way too sketchy/shaky. plus changing one light isn't worth me eating concrete.

              • Holy-crap-moley!

Took the breaker panel cover off, and guess what? Three power legs and a neutral. For the n00bs, that means we have three phase electric FTMFW!!!!!

                            • If you can see the transformer bank (assuming its a pole mount), 208v/3ph will have 3 equally sized transformers. 240v/3ph will have 1 transformer in the back larger than the others. If you have the cover off, you can also measure phase to phase with a multimeter. Or, if you have a 2-pole receptacle, you can measure across the legs there.
