  • Flow Comparison Chart-Here it is

this was all done with info ive found on the net from these engines at 28" of water (im not sure about the WOT ratings but i think they are under 28").

compares our engines to some of the biggest & baddest-as well as some of the most high flowing 4 cylinders out there. only ones i left out were the ecotec, b16b, & 4A-GE 5 valver. i definitely would have included them but things were beginning to get a bit crowded.

i only marked the 60* head flows & the quad 4 (honorable mention)-the v8's are dotted lines, & the bold lines are the 4 valvers (for quick reference).

I UPDATED IT & THE CHART IS RIGHT HERE-I REMOVED THE CRAPPY HARD TO READ ONE & REPLACED IT WITH THE UPDATED ONE.

    enjoy

Nice comparison, but yeah, it is crowded. Maybe make it a little bigger and put less of them on there and do two of them vs 1.

Just make a table, you don't need a graph

X2, with a table we can make as large as a graph as necessary....

hell ill do both later tonight when im bored since its raining i took the 454 off there & made it only go from 30-280cfm as well as .050"-.600" lift rather than going clear to .700" because the 454 isnt on there & the LS1 doesnt increase in flow any so its a waste of graph space.

now its just too bad i dont have a damn graphing program to make this a lot smoother-that hard to read pos took me like an hour or so to put together & when i zoomed out i was like damnit!!!

I would think Open Office could do this.

Excell and Word can both spit out a graph from a table. If you don't own them then visit openoffice.org

i didnt think to add the 3.9-id be happy to do so but damn that first chart is crowded!!

also-for all those who want to act like the l67 is so damn wonderful, id be willing to bet a set of 1990 fwd 3.1 heads with the castings cleaned up can outflow the boat anchor 3.8, sounds like a theory for someone to test & ill add it to the chart, now if only who to test it...

                            *cough cough* BEN *cough cough*

that wouldn't really be fair though. cleaned up heads vs stockers?

might only give a few more CFM, but still, its not entirely fair...

i hate the L67 as much as anybody else, but a fixed fight is still a fixed fight.
