Lol, that's great. I had to send that link to my friend who enjoyed it as much as I did, and he isn't even a car guy (yet he knows I despise the L67).

i'm still waiting for the day when w-body isn't dominated by the phrase "l67 swap"....

its much better now compared to the last two years, but its still rather rampant...

W-body went downhill after 2002-2003. I was there from damn near the beginning on the email list and early boards. It will never be the same.

that just made my whole day a giant ray of fucking sunshine, i guess when you whoop ass people that want to whine that it was all turbo just want something to bitch about.

thanks for posting that-i hope everyone takes the time to read that book-cuz its definitely worth it.

also the 24v comparison was for both engines (all 24 valves combined).

definitely a good read, and X2 on the 24valve explanation.

w-body be hating on the 660s when they whoop ass on the l67. thats how its been for a while, and probably won't change anytime soon.

yea its the same thing on the j-body, i called the l67 a boat anchor on their and lots of people got pissed off trying to tell me how great the 3.8 is and how shitty 660's are LOL.

is it true that the l67 is a cut down 305 like the 4.3 is a cut down 350? if so that is HORRIBLE!

no, its not a cut down 8, as far as i know.

its been said that it was a clean sheet design, but why they would make a 90*V6 is beyond me...

I question this one statement of his thread

                    Suddenly, the unfortunate gear ratios
                    Unless he's running 3.73's the 60 and 65e's have the same 1st 2nd and 3rd ratios.

i was just reading about the supercharged 3.8s being around in the early 90s, so why does my GTP (and it is a GTP) have an LQ1 in it?

2nd gen GTPs(97-up) got them, before that they were LQ1s...

and "unfortunate gear ratios" is another way of saying "out of powerband"...

Ok, that works, because I was gonna say if he has some magical way of fixing the shitty 60 and 60e ratios I want IN! lol

this isn't glubgp, so i'm going to have to correct this error

                              205-225 depending on the year

                              but this was a 97-98, meaning a S2SC
