MPRacing - BIG MISTAKE!

I rebuilt my daughters 99 pontiac grand am from the pistons up. This site has been invaluable in helping along those lines. I am putting together a tutorial on how the heads were ported, valves polished and so forth. I do want to say that there has been one company that has failed on about every level that one can fail on - that is MPRacing. Mark at MPRacing and the sponsor of this site are friends, so I don't know how long this blog will actually stay on this site, but I will blog on others and do a YouTube video of the riduclous emails sent from MP Racing. I want to warn anyone who may be considering this business, or any other business, that does not post a number to contact them, when they pull the stuff MP Racing has - you are basically out of luck. I have lived through the failed delivery of every item that I have ordered (over $1000) at MP Racing. After emailing, emailing and emailing day after day, Mark relayed that he had been in an auto accident. I can handle that. Then when the next delivery didn't arrive and emailing, emailing and emailing, Mark responded that the previous weekend was his wifes' birthday. Then when the delivery went more weeks into deliquency, and emailing, emailing and emailing, Mark responded that he had had a shop fire. The last communication, over a week ago, was that the item shipped and I would be notified. I've been emailing, emailing and emailing since - not a word. I requested a refund in my last 12 emails - still no word. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH MP RACING!!!!!!

While I generally try to stay out of disputes like this, Mark (MPRacing) and Ben (WOT-Tech) have basically bent over backwards in performing a motor build for me.
I will say that this not not the wisest way to resolve any disputes or misunderstandings.

MP Racing Issue

I have not received the Cold Air Intake from MP Racing ordered on May 27th (it is now the 26th of July). Mark has never initiated a single response to let me know the status, even though I repeatedly asked him to. I have always had to pester him with emails to try and get a response. His last communication said that the item shipped (10 days ago) and that I would be receiving a shipping notification. I responded by email after waiting 2 days that I had not received a shipping notice. He responded that he would stop by the Post Office the next day and find out the status. I have not heard from him since despite numerous emails.

we sent you 1 intake already and it came back to us now we were going to ship out another and you sent us threatening emails so we have refunded the $ rather than providing you the intake.

I respectfully ask that if you still have an issue that you contact me using the telephone # provided to you already by paypal when you placed your order and myself when I let you know that I was having issues with my email server.

Spin vs Truth

I guess if you can demonize the customer then you can somehow justify why you behaved the way you have.

The truth is this: MPRacing did not deliver (after waiting 2 months) on a product ordered from them. They did not respond to emails. They promised to check on delivery and told me twice that it had shipped. I received a reason for the delay each time I inquired - but had to send numerous emails to get any response. When Mark did not respond when I asked for a refund (I waited a week before responding with the next action) I did not threaten him, I told him the actions that I am taking to protect other customers - that is: I am writing the states attorney's general office and the bbb, both in state and federal, to let them know there is a business in their state that does not deliver products that have been pre-purchased. I also stated that I would take out a lean on his business for money owed to his customer. These are not threats, these are legal actions available to customers when a business unfairly takes advantage of them. Honestly, I would have loved MPRacing to have delivered on the item - peroid. I don't know Mark, don't need to know him, all he has to do is what he's been paid to do. It only gets ugly when the business fails at all levels to "take care of their customers". I've now been taken care of - Mark has me banned from Wot Tech and MP Racing - again, demonize the customer and maybe you won't look so bad.

Mark gives the impression that MPRacing did exactly what they were paid to do and an unreasonable customer came along, sent threatening emails, and is being banned from Wot Tech and MPRacing.

I don't have a clue what alerored04 means by his email that Mark responded to me there. I wasn't even aware of the alero forum and Mark has never referenced having email or server issues. He has referenced his auto accident, that took care of the first delay. He then (a month later) celebrated his wife's birthday and that was the reason for the next delay, and he had a shop fire, which two weeks later was the reason for the next delay.

I repeatedly asked Mark to simply keep me informed. He makes it sound as if I did get shipped the product - but there was never a shipping notification that went with it as the other items had when they shipped. He did not respond to numerous emails. He has told me the product has shipped three times now. In fact, in his last email response to me he said he was going to ship it out tomorrow, but because of my "threats" he was no longer going to do it and was going to make sure I couldn't purchase from him or Wot Tech again. A week ago I told him I could no longer believe anything he was telling me and to just refund my money. Since that time (until today) I have left twelve emails, all of which went unanswered. And now, since I have publically raised the issues, I am to blame for Marks failure to deliver and I am being "punished" for having said something.

I really dislike the approach myself. Could you tell me how you would handle this? I don't have a phone number for Mark, only an email. I'd really appreciate knowing what other options are out there when a business does someone dirty like they have to me. Thanks.
