Hello, let me start off by saying it is awesome that the desire for perfomance is still there for the 60 degree v6. But I must ask, why isnt there more info on this site about the 3.4L v6 that was in f-bodies from 93-95? I know they are pretty much the same engine except for intake and head configuration and of course they arent fwd. I mean no disrespect by no means i just figured i would ask the question for us rwd 60 degree v6 owners.

Easy answers:
Low production numbers due to there only being a 3 year run of them.
Lots of Camaro sites already exist with these being a focus of discussion there.
That being said... I am currently building a 3.4 out of a 95 Camaro for my Fiero with a set of 2002 heads from a Grand AM. The block is in the shop now getting bored and honed and I will be drilling/tapping the starter holes for a FWD configuration as soon as I get it back. There is at least one other guy here doing the exact same thing as I am as well as some others just trying to make their 3.4 perform. There is actually a fair amount of information and discussion about the 3.4 here and truck owners with 3.4 RWDs chime in as well.... just very little discussion concerning Camaros...

Welcome!
As mongo stated, one of the biggest reasons is that the site, when first started almost 9 years ago now, was based mainly around the FWD platform. Most of the RWD guys (F-bodies in particular) have their own "core" websites, so they hung out there. With that said, the lack of the RWD content and information is because the RWD crowd has just recently started migrating over here (probably in the past year or so). And many of those that do come over here and looking into ways to adapt the alum heads and intakes onto their 3.4L blocks.
Believe me, I wish we had more RWD content, but it takes people to provide the content for us to be able to get it up on the site.-Brad-

i know it is the wrong time and place to ask but why are people scared to band saw the mounting face from an intake and weld up an alu carb intake with room for a vac advance dist?
i know there is a market for them. from s10 to mg and other light weight imports. I am tryin to do one myself.. or at least that is what the voices in my head tell me.
I know there are many more people in the shadows ... a friend that is not a member but regularly views the site told me about it. I would like to see a place to post cad information to allow many people to carve the needed flanges to close up the heads and allow a faster fab up of the rest of the intake... but that is just me!

3rd gen V6s: 2.8 and 3.1, my first car was an 87 Firebird with the 2.8 which was the first engine that i ever rebuilt and I gained alot of knowledge off of it so yea the 60 degree V6 holds some sentimental value in my heart. Sorry for the long post.sigpic

Ya know, i feel the same as firehawk94, however i own an S-10 with a 2.8 tbi and always had somthing in my mind that just said this trucks build didnt have a V8 in its future and wanted the "wtf" look on peoples faces when they saw what was in it for an engine...so id figure id stay with the 60degv6 after i resealed mine and learned that it was a cool little engine with a possibilty of inprovment, now im starting my n/a 3.4L/3500 build. (my 3.4 is from a 95 f-body). But hands down, the info and friendly experience lies with in these forums for the 60.'69 F-100

Wow, thanks man! Even though its not really relevant to the 3.4 in the Camaro given that it is SFI fuel injected Im just glad that someone is showing some initiative to our RWD motors. Let me know if you need any help or info as I would be glad to help. Also, i have a 94 Camaro with the 3.4 and right now it is not driveable because it doesnt have a tranny (swapped the tranny into my Firebird) the engine is ragged out and the bottom end rattles a little bit, basically it needs to be rebuilt and I am seriously considering doing a 3400 hybrid topend on this thing and getting the camaro back on the road! I just wanted to throw that in there lolsigpic
