    I guess sometimes ya gotta let things go. Man at least maybe they could have gone "retro" and rolled an original 442 off last.

    How fitting, today is the official death of my cutlass. Too much rust so its now a parts car. What a waste of a rare car, and a company.

          It was under the plastic cladding. Yup, that did it for me.

              Damn, I drive an '86 Cutlass Supreme Brougham that looks brand new compared to that. Then again, I don't live where it snows. May she RIP, Ben.

                      dad wants to cut and weld, or i should say, fix the rest of the car and drive it to a shop and have them do it. Im going to remove all the rust and see whats left I guess.... Id rather just upgrade the GP but if he wants to have the body fixed ill keep the cutlass. Who knows right now, it doesnt look good.

                        Written in 1905 In My Merry Oldsmobile
                        Words by Vincent Bryan, Music by Gus Edwards
                        Verse 1: Young Johnnie Steele has an Oldsmobile. He loves a dear little girl.
                        She is the queen of his gas machine. She has his heart in a whirl.
                        Now when they go for a spin, you know, she tries to learn his auto, so
                        He lets her steer while he gets her ear, and whispers soft and low;

                        Chorus: Come away with me Lucile in my merry Oldsmobile
                        Down the road of life we?ll fly automo-bubbling you and I.
                        To the church we?ll swiftly steal, then our wedding bells will peal,
                        You can go as far you like with me, In my merry Oldsmobile.

                        Verse 2: They love to spark in the dark old park, as they go flying along,
                        She says she knows why his motor goes; his sparker?s awfully strong.
                        Each day they spoon to the engine?s tune, their honeymoon will happen soon,
                        He?ll win Lucile with his Oldsmobile and then he?ll fondly croon;

                        Patter Chorus: Come away Lucile ?cause if I may Lucile I want to take you for my bride,
                        And we?ll chug along and always sing a song as down the road of life we fly
                        Even though my car is old and squeaky now it?s better than a horse or train.
                        When I pull the throttle out and put her into third you think you?re in a plane.
                        To the church we?re heading for a quiet wedding then I?ll crank her up and take the wheel
                        And away we?ll go my honey, they will know my honey that our love is real.
                        You can go as far you like with me, In my merry Oldsmobile,
                        My merry Oldsmobile. Toast to OLDS!

                              im drinking one for Oldsmobile now... remembering the fond memories in Moms old 95 2 door Achieva SC, the old 96 2 door Cutlass with the skirt package... good cars...

                              dad used to have an old olds with a 455 in it back in the 70's....
                              had a couple 88's (fwd) in the late 80's

                              my grandpa still putters around in his 84 oldsmobile delta 88 with the 307 in it..
                              its got like close to 500,000 kms on it now..

                              here's to you Oldsmobile! we'll miss you.
