ROADTRIP!!! need someone to go with to Atlanta...

picking up a wrecked 95 GTP just north of Atlanta.. im leaving Charlotte around 7:00 a.m. and am gonna pull everything off this car thats left.. including the drivetrain.

Car is wrecked, so it might have to be cut out.. not exactly sure what all is left on the car besides that, but i basically am paying for any part on the car I want, so im taking all i can.

Anybody in Atlanta area that could lend a hand, or anybody that wants to meet me there or ride with?

I was thinking about the block, actually. I am in Illinois, and getting the block to Atlanta is one step closer to home If I can get Tyre to store it for me, would you be willing to haul it over on your out-bound trip?

I will actually be down in Atlanta next Monday on business, but I will be flying, and I don't think I can fit the block in the overhead bin

If the engine bay wiring is good, and the ECM, I want em At least the computer so I have a backup for the SFI/MAF setup.

If the car was between us, id go but thats a 12 hour drive or so.

Sure, ill tote it down.. thats where i was going with that. I'll email Tyre.

Im gonna take the ECM and wiring for myself to run the 3.4 if i put it in the GP. The guy told me today I can have the whole car... he REALLY wants me to tow it away, but I don't have the room to store it anywhere. Im gonna strip everything that I can cram into the rental truck.. so im sure i'll have stuff to sell afterwards.

Mitch, i'll probably be arriving in the 10am to 11am range.. however long it takes to drive from charlotte to hotlanta, leaving at 7am.

I think my car is telling me it doesn't want to go... the brakes started chirping as I left the shop that inspected it (good thing it didn't start that before) a couple days ago and now with very little driving since it's a constant screechy chatter...

So I think I'm gonna hafta stick round here this weekend, and do a front brake job as soon as I get home the following weekend.
