  • 1998 3.4 Transport Engine

I own 2 of the famous 3.4 engine code E Engines. Are there any gasket manufactures that make a performance gasket kit for these engine?. Unfortunatly..... my story is I had the intake failure on both, repaired both, ditched the Dex-Cool and replaced with conventional Prestone anti-freeze, I bought the good stuff. Now I have the unfortunate issue that one of them has done it again in less then 3 years running time, same gasket issue with anti-freeze, the gasket cracked in the usual place as last time and the orange seal pushed out. I don't think I did bad work so I'm kinda stumped with this. My bad I should have ditched the vehicle you'd think as my "loving wife" did not notice the engine was overheating and ran it till it froze, I ended up getting a short block .. I believe I replaced gaskets with Fel-Pro gaskets, but I'm not quite sure that I put Fel-Pro on both engines. I'm thinking one of them was an off brand? This is my dilema....So to insure I have a good gasket kit on this re-do, is there one out there that somebody makes? A web site I can go to and order online? Any kind of help would be awesome.

Felpro and Dorman have METAL LIM gasket kits for the 3400/3100. That will solve your problem.
