  • Tires to gear ratio?

Will changing your overall tire side..change your final drive ratio..if so...will running smaller tires on my car give me a diffrent 1/4 time?

If notice this to be somewhat weird.
If i run a 275/60/15 drag radial appose to my 235/60/15 radial Tire a drastic change in MPH not so much time..because of lack of traction...

    235 60 15 26.10"

    275 60 15 27.99 "

If this is true how do you figure out your over all gearing per tire size?
Im tryin to figure out my intire gear specs.. From rear to per gears and over all gearing... So when i order my new trans i can pick what first gear i want that best suits me.

that width is way freaking overkill for a slick, thats only going to slow you down. and yes it will change your FDR, and i've tried using a smaller tire, on my 3.1 atx it only slowed me down b/c it killed my top end. but on a MTX car or cars it could help out.
