I think we can pretty much just agree on what all we want to do, and on what day. Id actually like to go back to Mammoth Caves (not the little ferry ride, that sucked) and do the kart track. Vette museum can kiss my ass, some fag who wasnt even with our group got to start the Vette on the assembly line
Also dont need to go get a 5 finger discount on PROM chips at the local salvage yard
Hehehe, the salvage yard would rock for fixing up my cars Ive been to mammoth caves many times for school field trips, but that was a long time ago obviously. Id love to do that. Ill do kart racing if they have a kart that fits me. I think most are made for J body owners.
Unfortuneatly, I'm in eastern PA and I've never been to BG so I'm no help there. I'll help in anyway I can, and I figure the best way is to get more people to go. I'm working on a banner to run on other sites so we can get this meet advertised. Does anyone know what font is used in the logo??
Maybe we could put together an info page with the date, location, and a couple of links to the stuff we might do(dragstrip, corvette museum, or whatever). I definitely want to visit the dragstrip as that would be cool to do as I've never raced another 660 at the track, and I would think that Sat. night would be better than friday night.
The track is a given, I just hope it doesnt rain. I will put the banner on the site if someone makes it. I bet shawn at w-body.com would link it again this year. If someone wants to try for a large turnout, be my guest.
camping is ghey - i'm not an outdoorsy type person. when i go for a vacation i need to sleep in a bed and shower with clean water. i'm a pov so i usually try and split a room with someone.
the vette plant tour was boring. except i went with this extremely georgeous girl last time i went there. the museum i like but ive seen it a billion times. i should bring the vette and let brian kick my ass with his turbo 3.4.... but last time i ran at beech bend i lost the brakes at the top end and scared the shit out of myself and havent raced since.
ive heard of 2 dynos in the area but holley does not do public stuff just their own in house projects and testing. the other i dont know. (no v6 dyno for me cause i dont care but some people do)
karting is a show up and play kinda thing.
is anyone interested in having me call about a group tour of the holley plant?
Yeah, I did the calculations to the meet. I'm 2500Km away, don't think I'll make it. Maybe if it were Montana, Idaho or Wyoming. Oh well, what you gonna do.
2500km? That is about what a few of us drove last year to go to the Canadian event. I love to hear people whine that it isn't in their backyard. I think I've driven AT LEAST 700 miles each way each time, and you have yet to hear me bitch. Hell, one year I drove 900 miles (I think that's what it was to Ohio) 2 days after I did my cam swap.
For me it all depends on the weather.. if its 85 outside with 90% humidity, i'll be in a hotel with the A/C cranked wide open. If its gonna be nice then i dont mind camping at all.
The shower/shitter houses were roomy and clean last time we were there.. so its not like you have to bath in a cold mountain stream, or a sewer runoff :P
Im also bringin my Savage, so everybody will get to drive it (.25 nitro monster truck)
I'll have to get an engine for my Inferno to counter your Savage beast!!!! Well a .15 is all I can manage...
I'll bring my SST and/or S10... they're both electrics tho.

I saw a TV show about the Corvette plant that implied that people who ordered a new Corvette have the opportunity to start theirs as it comes off the line... so it may not be just a tour group thing.
