That's what we've always thought.... In the past, we have advertised it on several other forums and got a huge amount of people interested. So let's see, what was the turnout in previous years...

    2001 - 8, maybe 9?
    2002 - in conjunction w/ GMF cruise, but I'd say 12-15 660 people
2003 - we probably had a total of 25 stop in at one point or another

At least it's getting bigger every year. It seemed to double every year, so maybe 50 people will turn out this year.

Is there anyone on here that is good with photochop or something to make up a nice banner. I'll mess around with it, but it probably won't look to good. Maybe just take the site logo and change the "the best source" part to the location and the date of the meet. I'm determined to get a decent turnout if I'm going to drive down to BG in my TGP.

No one has started planning, and I dont have time to plan it. Franz and I planned it last year and it rained so we didnt get to go to the track, or do half the shit we had planned.

Do what you will, ill show up but the rest is up to someone else.

Oh yeah, and I was the only GMF admin to show up at the 2nd meet, which automatically put me in charge, a week before the event. W00T!! That was great...if you didnt care about having plans.

              I'm glad you aren't going...

Back on topic: I suppose that the rain did kill the meet last year, but there should have been more to do than sit around. You gotta remember that 99% of the people who go to meets are NOT from that area. Therefore, they have NO IDEA what is around/what there is to do...

HEY NOW!! I Still come to this board every so often

I WILL be there this year, probably in the Fiero unless something awful happens.. then i'll take teh wifes Xterra.

I thought we had a pretty good time the first meet in BG, sitting around ain't so bad when you know the people.

Im also bringin my Savage, so everybody will get to drive it (.25 nitro monster truck)

Anybody's wife/GF going along? Ultimate would be to tow the Fiero up w/ the Xterra, so's i got room for luggage.. would require my wife going w/ me.
                I modify stuff

                  Mmmm... Savage.

Yeah, I did have fun just hanging out with you guys there at the campground... the Corvette museum/plant and the spelunking adventure was really nice too.

Mmmmmm Bowling Green. Not far. Looking forward to it. Do I have to bring my wife? She only slows me down. Maybe I'll bring someone elses wife. (Kidding. I love mine. Had to say that.)

i can probably help a little with my connections in BG, the more i think about it the more i really wanna go to it. someone should split a hotel room with me. we all need to make plans to stay at one place. the baymont inn is nice, has a pool, they have a nice lawn which they would most certainly let us pitch a tent on to get shade under. the GN club and the corvette forum do it more than once a year and they always accomodate them. been to the CF meet 3 times, left many a tire mark in the baymont parking lot.

i will start planning IF someone else gets in on it with me cause i dont have all that much time, running my own business and having employees to payroll and such. i have a friend at holley and a friend at the corvette museum which we could probably get both places to schedule a group tour for us. whoever wants to help, contact me and we can get the ball rolling. i know the area well and there is a kart track, racetrack with friday night test + tune, and 'twould be sweet to do the caves maybe on the last day and head home from there since its a tad bit north and it seems like a good bunch of people could hop 65 north and have a head start(jon and chris can have a longer ride home)

I think saturday is the test and tune night for that weekend.

We should do all those things. Both tours, go karts, and 1/4 mile. Do you know of any dynos nearby? How much is that hotel per night? Im sure we can get a group discount too.

We can also stay at the campgrounds, which is what I would like to do.
