  • 2004 60*V6 Meet

Has anyone begun planning this? It's coming upon us quickly... I'll be VERY disappointed if it flops like last year. Any new info?

Well, NOTHING was planned very well.

I sure seemed to sit around on my ass a lot. I thought this was a vacation?! Hopefully, with it being in the states this year, it will be better. But, I'm beginning to lose hope since it's not even being DISCUSSED right now.

I cant go. Control arm bushing is out, transmission is leaking (just a tad) and the brakes are so screwed up that its not safe. And the alignment is wacked.

Of course everything goes bad right now... Go figure.

Hit up the Corvette factory or museum, go to some unique-to-the-region/area place for lunch, then later at night hit up a bar or strip club. k, done.

At the first 60v6 meet (also held in BG, KY) we did hit the Corvette factory and museum... as well as Mammoth Caves.

my vacation slot is filled for carlisle. i have that first place to defend - err - im not taking my car there cause some dick hit it in the parking lot and took off and now i need a new 1/4 panel or possibly it can be fixed, but not by me.

if i make the 60* meet it will be a last minute hop in the car with an overnight bag deal. the only draw for me is meeting everyone as i've been to BG so many times i could walk the corvette museum blindfolded. i've made dozens of passes at beech bend, been to mammoth cave more than i can remember, did the corvette plant tour during the c4 and c5 production runs, done xxx burnouts in front of the museum, hit 140 with the top off on the stretch of 65 between the museum and all the hotels, been to the Holley plant for a tour, gotten sick at the denny's up the road from the holley plant, gotten drunk at the best western continental... i could go on all day.

I've never been to BG and I was wondering where the meet would take place. I've been to Carisle many times and they have a huge fairgrounds that the shows take place on. Is there something like that in BG or should we just meet up at a Walmart.

I think we should make up some banners and start posting on other boards like v6z24.com, fiero.nl, and anyother site that 660 guys would hang out. There are a lot of us 660 guys out there so we should be able to get a crazt turnout if we wanted to.
