  • I can't believe it!!

I thought this day would never come, but it has. I actually paid $1.91 for 87 octane today. I was happy to see prices hit $1.99 at several stations on Friday, but did a search on GasBuddy.com before I headed out today and found a couple stations selling for $1.91. They were close to where I was heading, so I just had to fill up. It was nice to put in almost 10 gallons and only spend $19. Looked back at my records from earlier this year and had a time when I only put in 8.5 gallons, yet spent $30.

1.94 is what I normally see for 87. Although they have been creeping up in price the past few days (2.12) in certain areas.
        Now higher octanes...... WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

Last week or two it was 5.50-6.50 a gallon for 110.... now it's like 7.00-8.00 a gallon!!!

2.29 in RI... 24 bux to fill up my tank I was so happy... Its better that the 45 I was paying before.

That was last night, not sure what the trend is today or for tomorrow but we'll see.

Ethanol FTL. Worse MPG and the gas goes bad in your boat/etc over winter.

$2.09 here for 87/89. They add 10% mandatory to the 87 which bumps the octane to 89, so it's the same thing/price. But some stations will charge more to people who don't know any better.

Wow 1.86. That would be awesome. If not for hitting deer I would be going to a college town 30mins from here every weekend now, fri and sat! LOL

Yeah it sure is nice filling up and it not even being 30 bucks for a change. I'd be nice to be under $20. I remember balking when I had to drop a $20 bill down. LOL

There was a time when I was paying $70 to fill my tank, but last time I filled up its like $45. At college, were still at 3 a gallon. At home last time I looked it was 2.53

Yea I agree with using ethanol in a boat or lawn mower. But the last time I did a back to back comparison it was about the same as reg unleaded. I'm sure there is a difference but it's not worth the difference in price. So It's ethanol all the way for me. But thats just me.
