well... its been almost 2 years since the article was writen up, but they finally got around to putting the Jbody coverage that Mike Eder wrote up about My car and Nick Carneys 2001 z24 (AutoXZ24 on the .org) along with a big thing on Jbody's in genral.
i was just fortunate enough to be in the right place at the right time.
almost 2 years last June 2002 i recieved Car Of The Month on Jbody.org (back when they still did COTM) partly due to this was right after i had finished up my Hybrid build up on the engine that May.... at this point in time no-one in the jbody world had build up a hybrid setup or was really considering it. so it drew some attn to the car.
i never even realized that anyone else had even done a hybrid type build up untill i found GPXSS's car earlier that winter of 2001 at which point i was readying the car and the parts for the change over. thanks to Chris's site i found 60degreev6 (didnt joint till later on the next year)and i found out one small problem i hadnt thought of myself... the P/S pump issue (thanks Chris!)
anyways Mike was corresponding with me back then about doing the article.... then he dissapeared.. i kinda thought it might had got the No-Go from the editor and then completely forgot about it untill just last month i got a quick email from him saying "we need a pic of your car" at which point i really didnt have ANY!! (arghhh) so i had to scrounge for pics of the car within 2 days to get to him.
i havnt seen the Issue yet. its the May 2004 issue of GrassRoots Motorsports. our stores still have April on the shelves, so if anyone has a copy yet or can find one SCAN IT FOR ME!! LOL. i want to see.

I never got the last issue that had a mention of this site, so I will have to be sure to grab this one. Is it going to be under the history of the J body? I would assume so but I guess we will find out.
so the writer deserves a nut kick for that.
Preformance product displays were shit too. Also all the ricers were all rims and bolt on junk. Didn't see any custom turbos or anything. It was either junk ricers or drag ricers. With the exception of that 350Z, but it only have that S.C. on it. Oh, and I met my high school shop teacher there. He got me into trades, coolest teacher ever. Small-ass world though. Oh, and one other funny thing. I saw some wheel covers, you know the cheap plastic kind that look like chrome, except these had spinners. How gay is that? They were like $75.00CDN for a set too.
